  • Do you miss school or work because of your asthma?

  • Do you go to an urgent care facility or to the emergency room because of your asthma?

If so, the Asthma Self-Management Education Program can help get your asthma under control.

The Asthma Self-Management Education Program, only the second program in the nation to receive certification through the American Association of Respiratory Care, offers patients an education and supportive program monitored by trained medical professionals in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. We will give you the tools, skills and confidence to successfully self-manage your asthma in partnership with your physician.

As your liaison between you and your physician, we can help you understand the following:

  • your triggers and irritants
  • your controller and rescue medications
  • your asthma action plan

We will also provide education in regards to:

  • what a Peak Flow Meter is and why you should use it
