Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)

Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) are advanced imaging techniques that provide high resolution, three-dimensional imaging to pinpoint tumor sites while protecting healthy surrounding tissue. IMRT allows for the radiation dose to conform to the shape of the tumor while IGRT ensures the precision and accuracy of the of treatment delivery. This high level of precision makes it possible to use higher doses of radiation during treatment, avoid impact on healthy tissue and reduce side effects from the radiation treatment.

Both techniques are used to treat a variety of tumor sites.
