What is Aortic Disease?

The aorta is the most important artery in your body as it carries oxygen-rich blood away from the heart to all the vital organs. When affected by disease, the aorta can split (dissection) or dilate (aneurysm) and in either case, the rupture may have fatal results.

Key Takeaways

  • Aneurysms are a progressive disease that require monitoring with regular checkups.
  • 95% of aortic aneurysms come without a warning. A patient will not have any symptoms until a major aortic event (death, dissection or rupture) happens.
  • Timely intervention is warranted because once an aortic complication occurs (dissection or rupture) short-and long-term patient results diminish rapidly.

Access to Advanced Aortic Imaging

Accurate imaging is fundamental to establish a diagnosis of aortic disease and determine if and when a procedure is warranted. Our center is able to provide these services, which include:

Our center uses these advanced technologies to ensure we’re getting a complete view of the patient’s anatomy. This allows our team of experts to create a detailed, personalized care plan to best fit your needs.

Aortic Center Offers 24/7 Care

The team is available 24/7 to respond to emergencies like aortic dissections. For urgent care at any time, please call 1-833-926-7842.

Access to a Second Opinion for Aortic Disease

If you’ve been diagnosed with a heart condition, it is essential to consider every alternative. Our team is happy to provide that second look for you and your loved ones. A second opinion can ease your mind, possibly prevent an unnecessary procedure, or provide you with an alternative option to consider. To contact our aortic center, please call 1-833-926-7842.

Access to Genetic Testing at Our Aortic Center

If you or a family member have been diagnosed with an aortic condition, it may be a result of a heritable heart and vascular disorder. In our clinic, we offer testing and consultation for those patients suspected of having a genetic predisposition for aortic complications. To contact our aortic center and inquire about our aortic genetic testing program, please call 1-833-926-7842.
