Chemotherapy & Infusion

Chemotherapy/Infusion Center

Completed in 1995, The Cancer Center of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly Saint Barnabas Medical Center) is a facility with state-of-the-art services and amenities to offer the latest technology as well as maximum patient comfort.

Our Chemotherapy/Infusion Center consists of 23 private rooms, each with a television and either a DVD player or VCR to allow patients an opportunity for relaxation during treatment. There is also a three-person suite for brief visits. Chemotherapies taking 12 hours can be done in the outpatient setting without having to hospitalize patients as 5 rooms have beds.

Our Center is staffed by experienced nurses. All our nurses in the infusion area are chemotherapy certified and most have oncology certification as well (OCN). We also offer on-site counseling, holistic nurses, an art therapist, and laboratory services.

We recognize the importance of providing services on schedule and do our best to minimize waiting times for both physician and treatment visits. The hours of operation for the infusion area are Monday thru Thursday 8am to 7pm and Friday 8am to 5:30 pm.

Patient Stories

  • “The treatment continues to go well, and I feel good. I love the fact that it’s a pill—no IV or needles. I’m back to work, traveling, going to church and doing all the things I enjoy.”
