Radiology Department

radiologyCooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly Saint Barnabas Medical Center) hosts one of the most active radiology and imaging services in the state. Most of the credit for our success should go to those dedicated people on the front lines, the technologists, nurses and clerical staff that make up the heart of the department.

Credit is also due to our subspecialist radiologists who have joined Cooperman Barnabas from the finest programs in the country. The department also manages a highly respected radiology residency program that places residents in excellent fellowships throughout the country.

Thanks to a firm commitment from the Cooperman Barnabas leadership, the Department of Radiology has had the opportunity to acquire new, state-of-the-art technology that has kept our range of capabilities equal to any major university.

The modern radiologist is very active in patient care. From evaluation of breast disease to performance of biopsies, drainages and placement of central venous access lines, our radiologic specialists contribute toward improved medical care as well as decreased length of stay for the hospitalized patient. With technology that grows more sophisticated and powerful each year, we have the ability to diagnose and treat more diseases than ever before.
