An audiologist is a professional who specializes in the identification, testing, habilitation/rehabilitation, and counseling of hearing, auditory, and balance disorders. Audiological services provided on our campus by an audiologist include:

  • Comprehensive audiologic testing for adults, newborns, and children
  • Comprehensive auditory processing disorder testing
  • Tinnitus evaluations and treatment/counseling
  • Hyperacusis and misophonia evaluations and treatment/counseling
  • Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, repairs, and checks using the latest digital technology
  • Hearing conservation - Custom noise protection
  • Custom made earmolds, swim molds, and musician's ear plugs
  • Balance testing, including Videonystagmography (VNG), Rotary Chair testing, and VEMP testing

Hearing Aids

RWJ audiologists are state-licensed hearing aid dispensers. A full line of hearing aid related services are offered, including:

  • Counseling
  • Selection
  • Fitting of appropriate amplification
  • Repair/cleaning services
  • Real ear measurements
  • Electro-acoustic hearing aid analysis
