Pastoral Care

At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway

About Us

The Pastoral Care Department provides spiritual and emotional care to people of all faiths or no faith traditions.

A clinically trained chaplain is available 24/7/365 for emotional and spiritual care.

A clinically trained chaplain is a Religiously Affiliated (ordained) who has theological training and experience in a Health care setting.

Our Chaplain focuses on patients’ and their families’ own spiritual and religious resources, offering a comforting presence and a listening ear. An on-site chaplain is available for:

  • Spiritual and emotional care
  • Prayer/Blessings
  • Conversations about your spiritual needs
  • Various holiday services
