Kevin M. Kramer

Vice President, Legal Affairs & General Counsel

As VP of Legal Affairs & General Counsel, Mr. Kramer provides legal counsel to all departments and affiliates of the hospital, as well as the RWJ Rahway Board of Governors and its committees. Mr. Kramer also serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer for the hospital. He is a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association In-House Counsel panel, the New Jersey State Bar Association Health Law Section, the American Health Lawyers Association, and Health Care Compliance Association.

Prior to joining RWJ Raway in 2010, Mr. Kramer was an attorney in the Corporate Group at Gibbons P.C. in Newark, where he counseled hospitals, home health agencies, adult medical day care centers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers on a multitude of health law issues. Prior to that position, he was an attorney in the Health Care Group at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Florham Park.

Mr. Kramer was a 2007 Super Lawyers’ Rising Star in Health Care and a Commissioner on the Hoboken Municipal Hospital Authority from 2007-2010. Mr. Kramer was admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars in 2000.

Mr. Kramer received his bachelor's in 1994 from Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management, where he maintained a double major in Law and Public Policy and Human Resources Management. He received his law degree in 2000 from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where from 1999-2000 he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy. After graduating from college and prior to attending law school, Mr. Kramer served as a Legislative Correspondent for two United States Senators – Sen. Bill Bradley and Sen. Richard H. Bryan.
