medical technologists and laboratory technicians, and there is always
a pathologist available for consultation.

Point-of-Care Testing
Ancillary or Point-of-Care testing allows doctors or nursing staff, under
the direction of the Laboratory, to perform testing at the patient’s
side. The Laboratory verifies that the testing personnel follow proper
procedures and practices to ensure that Point-of-Care patient testing
is accurate. Because these results are usually obtained in two minutes
or less, patients are able to receive more timely and appropriate medical
treatment.
Accreditation
The Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and
the Blood Bank is accredited by the AABB. The facility is in full compliance
with New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and CLIA regulations.
The Laboratory provides same-day turnaround times for routine tests. Some
