Heart Saver and BLS Instructor Development courses.
We offered year-round courses at six acute care facilities of RWJBarnabas Health. All programs are certified by the American Heart Association, except for the neonatal resuscitation course, which is certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. With 300+ trained instructors across the state, the CPR Training Center provides easy access to training for people who live and work throughout New Jersey. When the program was started at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 1985, 125 people were trained in the first year. Since then the program has grown tremendously, training more than 21,000 individuals in 2000-2001, making it the #1 training center in New Jersey, per the American Heart Association.
