Family-Friendly Children's Health Services in New Jersey


RWJBarnabas Health children’s hospitals were named among the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals for 2026-2027 for Pediatric Urology (#23) by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year. The Urology ranking recognizes a four-hospital practice that is based at BMSCH but also provides care at three other RWJBarnabas Health hospitals – Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, McMullen Children’s Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center. Two other RWJBarnabas Health Children’s Health pediatric specialties to garner prestigious 'gold badges' are Pediatric Nephrology (#38), and Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral Health (Top 50). Additionally, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital was named the #1 Children's Hospital in New Jersey (tie) and #11 in the Mid-Atlantic region (tie) and earned the highest ranked programs in the state.
