- Children’s Specialized Hospital now offers scoliosis and kyphosis specific physical therapy treatments at our East Brunswick and Toms River locations. Physical therapy for scoliosis focuses on spinal elongation and de-rotational techniques, as instructed by a physical therapist certified in the Schroth Method. Evaluation and treatment includes examining your child’s individual presentation and determining their therapy related needs. A large focus of treatment is empowering your child in various custom movements and exercises to meet the needs of your child. Your therapist will also work closely with your physician to share information such as recent x-ray findings to ensure the best treatment and patient outcomes.
