Penny Retirement Update
Beginning May 26, 2026, RWJBarnabas Health cash and retail locations will round up change to the nearest five cents as pennies are gradually phased out of circulation nationwide.
- All change provided in cash transactions will be rounded up to the nearest five cents
- Exact change for cash payments is appreciated
- Card and digital payments will remain exact
Signage will also be posted in areas accepting cash payments. We appreciate your understanding as we transition to this updated process.
