A Space for Teens

The Mary Stavola Pavilion features a host of amenities for teenage patients, including the Ezra Abraham To Life Living Room, which was designed as an inviting living room with laptop computers and wireless Internet access. Funded through The Ezra Abraham To Life Foundation, the Living Room is a bright, energetic space adjacent to the traditional playroom on the inpatient pediatrics unit that is home to a myriad fun activities. The goal of the room is to make a space that, for teens, is like being at home.

Babysitter Training

The Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center is a training site for the national Safe Sitter program. Presented by certified Safe Sitter instructors, the program teaches 11- to 13-year-olds to be responsible, creative babysitters and handle emergencies.
