Together with Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we offer the most advanced multidisciplinary, patient-centric cancer care including cancer screenings and diagnosis to treat your type of cancer. Adult and pediatric patients have access to innovative clinical trials, precision medicine, cellular therapies, sophisticated radiation therapy techniques and complex surgical procedures to treat the most common, as well as the most complicated and rare cancers. We are home to New Jersey’s only freestanding comprehensive cancer hospital, the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center.
Our programs hold accreditations from national organizations including the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), American College of Radiology, and others. Our nationally recognized physicians conduct pioneering clinical trials focused on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and are national leaders and major contributors to clinical trials from the National Cancer Institute and international cooperative groups. We are one of the only programs in the state to offer blood and marrow transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy for both adults and pediatrics and are home to the state’s only hospital-based proton therapy center. RWJBarnabas Health together with Rutgers Cancer Institute is also the highest volume pancreatic cancer surgery program in New Jersey.
Our outstanding multidisciplinary teams of oncologists, nurses, oncology nurse navigators, and support professionals, ensure a compassionate, and comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating all types of cancer. They work closely together to provide individualized treatment plans for each patient to address your specific cancer. Patients are provided with an oncology nurse navigator who serves as a knowledgeable and important resource — answering questions, providing guidance, and coordinating care.
