The Department of Radiation Oncology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (formerly Saint Barnabas Medical Center) has been treating patients since 1969, delivering the highest-quality care in the treatment of cancer. All patients undergoing treatment in our Radiation Oncology Department will have the expertise of specially trained board-certified radiation oncologists utilizing cutting-edge technology.

State-of-the-Art Technology

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center has a large array of sophisticated, state of the art technology for treatment imaging, planning and delivery.

We are leaders in the field of radiation as we were the first in New Jersey to offer Halcyon, a revolutionary way to treat cancer with radiation. We were also the first in the state to offer prone positioning for breast cancer treatment and selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT). In addition, our commitment to offering the latest technology led to the introduction of our CyberKnife program in 2016 and AlignRT for left-breast cancer radiation therapy in 2018.
