Nonsurgical Procedures
In addition to surgery, we also offer nonsurgical cosmetic injectables for facial rejuvenation, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators can improve the appearance of wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing the muscles on the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes. This results in more smooth and less noticeable wrinkles in these three areas. Botox and Dysport are common neuromodulators.
You will see the effects of neuromodulators approximately two to three days after the treatment and they can last up to four months. The short treatment is performed as an office-based, outpatient procedure and there is little to no down time after injection.
Some people begin treatments to prevent wrinkles and others begin when lines appear when their faces are at rest.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse are used to improve deeper wrinkles that neuromodulators alone may not address. These fillers are also used to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds (deep lines that run from the side of the nose down to the lip), marionette lines (deep lines that run from the bottom lip down to the chin), and small contour irregularities of the face such as acne scars and pits.
Radiesse is most commonly used for nasolabial folds, marionette lines and frown lines.
Juvederm and Restylane (hyaluronic acid fillers) can be used for a variety of scars, lines, and augmentation of lips or cheeks. These types of dermal fillers are temporary and effects last from eight to twelve months as the body naturally absorbs the filler over time.
