Expanded Emergency Care
- Through an expansion of the Emergency Department from 60 to 102 patient rooms, CBMC doubled capacity from 65,000 to 130,000 patient visits each year, while also improving access to care, reducing wait times, and expediting diagnosis and treatment.
- The fully renovated and expanded facility features spacious exam rooms; a state-of-the-art Observation Unit; expanded and updated Patient Triage; leading-edge technology to expedite diagnosis and treatment; and expanded state-of-the-art pediatric emergency medicine.
Operations Center
- The Operations Center is a large theater space that interfaces with CBMC Electronic Medical Records using predictive analytics in real time to improve capacity planning, care progression, discharge planning, and staffing plans.
- Since its implementation, the Operations Center has improved workflow and has enhanced interdisciplinary teamwork, both of which have made a significant impact on the quality and efficiency of care.
Surgical Care Transformed
- The Medical Center’s transformed Surgery Center is larger, more efficient, and designed to expedite care. Our threefold expansion now supports more than 15,000 surgeries per year across nearly 25 surgical specialties.
- The Surgery Center is an entry point to inpatient treatment for adults and children undergoing complex procedures, as 35% of patients who access the Surgery Center are admitted for care.
- Superbly-trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses complete our cutting-edge Surgery Center, an essential community resource.
