The Northern Department of Cardiac Surgery at RWJBarnabas Health, which includes Jersey City Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center, is home to New Jersey’s top cardiac surgeons who are skilled in all aspects of heart care. Our surgical team performs the full spectrum of operative procedures in patients with cardiac and vascular diseases, including coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysm repair, ventricular assist device implantation and heart transplant. Furthermore, our surgical team offers expertise in all-arterial and off-pump coronary revascularization, minimally-invasive cardiac surgery and repair of complex thoracic aortic diseases. Collectively, our cardiac surgeons are recognized as national leaders in the field and continue to advance the latest minimally-invasive techniques.
