Coordinating Council

The Coordinating Council coordinates and integrates governance decisions, recommendations, and activities of the nursing shared governance councils. The council provides direction to shared governance councils including the implementation and integration of the Nursing Strategic Plan.


Goals:

  1. Foster continuous improvement of patient care outcomes through the systematic integration, implementation, and dissemination of shared governance activity and Nursing Strategic Plan
  2. Promote the growth and development of nurses’ participation in shared governance activities and foster shared decision making within nursing services
  3. Advance the nursing professional practice model, Patient Center Family Focused Care, through the guidance and mentoring of shared governance activities
