Vicki Pitson, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Vicki Pitson, M.A., CCC-SLP, is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association-certified
speech-language pathologist, licensed in the states of New Jersey and
New York. Vicki is a medically based speech-language pathologist who began
her career in 2010, following her clinical externship in skilled nursing
and subacute rehabilitation facilities. She then found her passion in
both the acute care and outpatient roles upon transitioning to the hospital
setting in 2012.
Vicki began her career at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick in 2017, following nearly four years at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Her primary areas of interest include dysphagia management in the critically ill and medically complex patient population, as well as dysphagia and speech intervention in patients with head and neck cancer. She is competent in performing both the modified barium swallow study (MBSS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) in both the acute and outpatient settings.
Vicki works closely alongside the Head and Neck oncology department of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to assure the most comprehensive and highest level of patient care.
