There are many ways to give, with varying tax and income benefits associated with each.
Planned Giving
Planned giving is a very special way you can support the work of the Hospital with a bequest in your will, a charitable gift annuity or trust, a gift of real estate or life insurance, or a gift from your retirement plan.
Planned giving can be a very effective tax planning strategy, and may provide certain financial advantages to you and your family and heirs. It may also enable you to make a much larger gift than you ever dreamed possible. In addition, the returns from certain life-income plans can help you to transform low-yielding investments into a new source of income.
Individuals who participate in The RWJ Foundation’s planned giving program are invited to join The Wells Society. The Society was created to honor Grace Tileston Wells, whose generosity and forethought resulted in the establishment of the Hospital’s first building in New Brunswick, NJ.

Tribute Giving
A tribute gift may be given to celebrate a momentous occasion in the life of a friend, colleague or loved one: the birth of a child, wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, new home, new job, promotion, retirement, award, or any other important event.
Honor a Caregiver
Have you or a loved one been touched by an experience with one of our health care providers at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital?
We would love to hear about it. We will ensure your message of gratitude is delivered to the person you are honoring and shared throughout the hospital.
Host a Fundraiser
As an initial step in planning a fundraising event to benefit RWJUH and/or BMSCH, we ask you to complete the Event Proposal Form describing the details of the event. We ask for this information to ensure that the proposed event is consistent with our mission, vision, and values, and to ensure that you are aware of potential needs and issues well in advance of the event. Please submit the completed form to the Foundation office at least 90 days prior to the proposed event.
