Objectives:

1. Review some public health and individual benefits and minimal risk benefits and minimal risks of universal childhood vaccination.

2. Define the term “vaccine hesitancy” and discuss the social determinants of these phenomena.

3. Discuss some of the aspects of vaccine hesitancy with respect to the current situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
