RWJBarnabas Health’s Children’s Specialized Hospital and Rutgers School of Health Professions partnered for the third year in a row to offer the “True Grit Spinal Cord Program” for young people ages 16-21 with spinal cord injuries (SCI). True Grit is more than a meeting place for people with shared perspectives. It supports campers’ education through tutoring, addresses their physical needs with physical, occupational, and recreational therapy, and takes them off campus for community engagement and fun.
