Celebrating the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Nursing Heroes
This year, it is extremely fitting that The World Health Organization has selected “The Year of The Nurse and Midwife” as the theme for Nurse’s Week, celebrated May 6 – 13, 2020. When originally selected to honor the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, little did we know that we would find ourselves in the midst of a global health pandemic; a crisis in which nurses are demonstrating true heroism as frontline warriors. Now more than ever, the importance of the nursing profession is being recognized worldwide.
