Wen-chi has over 10 years of experience in serving the Chinese community in the patient advocacy and care coordination fields. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese. Wen-chi previously worked as Chinese Program Coordinator, Patient Navigator and Special Events Manager with the American Cancer Society and CDC Hepatitis Program.
Wen-chi’s approach to medical interpretation is patient-centered and detail-oriented. She prioritizes cultural sensitivity and accuracy to facilitate clear and effective communication between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring that all parties feel heard and understood.
Wen-chi has a Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism from Murray State University in Kentucky and has completed 40 hours of professional medical interpreter training with CP Language Institute, Inc. Additionally, Wen-chi has completed patient satisfaction, patient advocacy and care coordination training with RWJBarnabas Health.
