Safety Ambassador Program

Students Teaching Students About Safety

The Safety Ambassador Program was conceived in 2008, when just five Middlesex County school districts participated. Since then we have grown to include 23 high schools and 26 elementary schools across the County. The Safety Ambassador Program teaches juniors and seniors about injury prevention and related safety strategies. These high school leaders then educate 1st and 2nd graders in their district about these topics in an effort to increase safe behaviors and decrease traumatic injuries.

The Safety Ambassador Program provides numerous opportunities for improving presentation skills, leadership development, and promoting teamwork. But, most importantly, it can help save lives! For more information on how to get your school involved in this exciting county wide program, please give our Injury Prevention Program a call at 732.418.8026.
