When it comes to my family, I know I can count on Clara Maass Medical Center, my hospital since 1957.
When I say “my hospital” I truly mean it. I have a history with Clara Maass that began the day that I was born there. Along the way, my parents trusted Clara Maass with the bumps and bruises of my childhood. Our family physician, Dr. Ralph Remondelli was even one of the doctors that brought Clara Maass to Belleville.
Later in my life, Clara Maass was the location for one of the best experiences of my life. I became a father when my wife Carol and I welcomed our two daughters, Caroline and Christina into the world at the same hospital where I was born.
Growing up in Belleville, my family and I have watched Essex County and Northern New Jersey continue to grow. My life has been fortunate in many ways and for that reason, I have always tried to give back. As the Chairman of the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation Board, I can give back to my hometown by helping ensure that the best health care is right here close to home for so many.
