Welcome to Surgical Services at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus
Welcome to the Department of Surgery at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC). Our specialized team of board-certified surgeons are delighted to serve our patients. Our surgical nurses and anesthesiologists work in collaboration performing general, minimally invasive procedures, such as diagnostic laparoscopy, to more complex specialty surgery, all in our in our state-of-the-art surgical suites. Our surgeons also work closely specialists, including oncologists and gastroenterologists to pinpoint symptoms and map out treatment plans.
From foot and ankle surgeries with our experienced podiatrists to complex oncologic procedures, MMCSC offers fellowship trained and specialized surgeons to provide great results and better outcomes. It is our goal to deliver excellent care to our community.
At Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus we understand that undergoing surgery can be an uneasy and potentially confusing time, and we want you to know we are here for you every step of the way. Working in four state-of-the-art operating rooms, MMCSC experienced and compassionate surgical team includes board certified, fellowship trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, and registered nurses, who are nationally certified in medical-surgical nursing from the American Nursing Association.

Surgeons at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus utilize state-of-the-art surgical tools and technology, in our seven newly modernized surgical suites, including Cysto and Minor procedures rooms, all designed to facilitate patient comfort, reduce pain and speed healing.
The division of General Surgery continues to not only meet but also exceed the highest national quality standards for outcome and safety.
Minimally Invasive and Same Day Surgery Options
Thanks to advances in technology many procedures which once required large incisions and long hospital stays can now often be done using minimally invasive or laparoscopic approaches which reduces the size of the incision, and generally results in less pain and scarring, faster recovery, and reduced incidence of post-surgical complication. Additionally, many of these surgeries can be completed on a same day basis so patients go home less than 24 hours after surgery.
