HAMILTON, NJ, February 8, 2023 – The Young Professionals Group (YPGs) of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton) Foundation, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, signed a $150,000 pledge to support the cardiac services at RWJUH Hamilton.
The pledge helps supports the growth of the cardiology program at RWJUH Hamilton and aligns with RWJUH Hamilton receiving licensing to perform elective non-emergent angioplasty in 2022 and the new opening of the hospital’s H.H. Tuchman Cardiac Interventional Suite, a unit which will provide patients and their families with private rooms for both pre and post-operative cardiac care. The YPGs pledge also offers an opportunity for naming of the Nurses Station in the H.H. Tuchman Cardiac Interventional Suite.
“The YPGs are one of the most dynamic boards that we have at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton),” says Nina Melker, Chair RWJUH Hamilton Board of Trustees. “They are engaged and enthusiastic advocates for RWJUH Hamilton while also raising funds for various projects that meet the needs of the hospital.
“We have made a commitment to our organization to expand and advance our cardiac vascular care services realizing heart disease and cardiac related illnesses are affecting a large majority of the residents in our local area communities,” says Richard Freeman, President and Chief Executive Officer, RWJUH Hamilton. “We are very thankful to the YPGs for stepping up and making this pledge and are grateful for their continued to support year after year.”
The YPGs held their first meeting of 2023 and welcomed new members Marlee Araujo, John Blair, Joshua Harry, Tony Lanni, Frank Lucchesi, Jr., Jillian Minch, Nicole Niemiec and Marisa Pollack.
