Joint Replacement Surgeon David Chalnick, M.D., has been named MMC Physician of the Month for August. Presenting the award is Chief Medical Officer Kenneth Granet, M.D. They were joined for the presentation by members of the hospital’s Joint and Spine Center team members
Long Branch, NJ, August 15, 2023 – Orthopaedic surgeon David Chalnick, M.D., medical director of Monmouth Medical Center’s Joint Replacement Program, is the hospital’s August Physician of the Month. Dr. Chalnick was praised as caring, efficient and a great communicator with patients, family members and staff alike. Among the comments received in Dr. Chalnick’s nominations were:
“Dr. Chalnick is the definition of all categories for physician of the month. He is caring, efficient, has an excellent bedside manner that his patients always rave about. He is friendly with the staff and always takes the time to communicate care about his patients with the entire team. He listens to the staff’s concerns and treats them with respect. He takes the time to listen to his patients and their family members and makes sure to caring and empathetic to their worries and concerns.”
“Dr. Chalnick is an excellent surgeon, with outstanding patient outcomes, and even when he has been in the OR all day, he will come to bedside to see his patients before he goes home.”
“Dr. Chalnick goes to great lengths to sit down and listen to his patients, even after a long day in the OR. He never pushes his patients too hard, and allows them to have a say in their care. He also values his team’s input on the progression of his patients’ recoveries.”
