Jersey City Medical Center and RWJBarnabas Health leadership and special guests held a private reception to celebrate the new Abercrombie Guild Pediatric Emergency Department and to recognize the significant contribution and legacy of the Abercrombie Guild, a philanthropic organization that took pride in helping the youngest and most vulnerable of the community.
The reception took place prior to the special event and ribbon-cutting on July 26, 2022, where Jersey City Medical Center unveiled its newly expanded Emergency Department that doubled the size of the hospital’s ED. The new Pediatric ED, which is separate from the Adult ED and with its own entrance, was made possible through the Abercrombie Guild’s multimillion-dollar gift and historic final donation as the entity ends its operations after over 140 years of service.
