Mar 3, 2021 The Breast Center at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center Breaks Ground On New Jersey’s Most Advanced Dedicated Breast MRI

On March 2, 2021, The Breast Center at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center held a groundbreaking ceremony for a complete redesign of the space. Coming Fall 2021, the center will have the state’s most technologically advanced, dedicated breast MRI magnet, producing the highest quality images in half the time of other centers. This renovated space will also include a redesigned registration area with more privacy and improved efficiency, a beautiful spa-like waiting area for gowned patients and expanded Breast Health and Disease Management practice improving efficiency and flow.

“We are completely redesigning The Breast Center with our patients in mind,” says Linda Sanders, MD, Medical Director, The Breast Center. “With the addition of our breast MRI, we will be able to deliver comprehensive outpatient breast imaging all in one beautiful breast center.”

Caring for more than 65,000 patients, The Breast Center is one of the largest Breast Centers in the United States. The center offers a full range of preventative, diagnostic and treatment services, all delivered by a compassionate, highly-trained staff. At the Breast Center, patients can be assured of a high level of individualized care from a multidisciplinary team, experienced in treating breast-related issues.

The Breast Center at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center is one of the few breast centers in New Jersey to receive accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), which requires a rigorous evaluation process and performance review.
