Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, will hold a virtual Breast Cancer Awareness Month Event, “Breast Cancer Clusters: Blown Out of the Water featuring Erin Brockovich,” on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Breast surgeon Deborah Lue, MD, of RWJBarnabas Health medical group’s Steeplechase Breast Specialists who is medical director of breast cancer services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Steeplechase Cancer Center, will provide an overview of your risks for breast cancer; causes of breast cancer, including environmental contaminants; signs of breast cancer; diagnostic tools (ie. Mammogram, ultrasound and MRI) and the latest treatment options, including Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s High Risk Breast Cancer Program.

Erin Brockovich, the renowned crusader whose case against Pacific Gas and Electric was dramatized in the Oscar-winning film and the author of Superman’s Not Coming, will share her story, inspire changes that look at our present situation with water and reveal the imminent threats to our most precious and essential element.
