Oct 8, 2020 The Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division at Saint Barnabas Medical Center Announces the Grand Opening of River Edge Transplant Satellite Unit

The Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division at Saint Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC) has announced they will be opening a new satellite location in River Edge, New Jersey, located at 10 Elizabeth Street next to the New Bridge Landing Railway Station in River Edge. This new satellite is available to help make kidney and pancreas transplantation more accessible to residents living in Bergen and Passaic Counties in New Jersey and in New York State. The River Edge Satellite offers the identical education and evaluation program available at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Individuals may complete their entire pre-transplant evaluation in River Edge without having to travel to Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

“We are excited to be able to offer a convenient location for patients in Northern New Jersey and New York with chronic kidney disease,” said Francis L. Weng, MD, MSCE, Chief of the Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division at SBMC. “Our River Edge Transplant Satellite provides access to patients in need of a transplant in their own communities, and will eliminate their need to travel to Livingston.”
