Newark, NJ (December 29, 2020) – Just days before Christmas, Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center received a special delivery of three pallets of toys from RWJBarnabas Health Board Member Kenneth A Rosen, Esq., partner at Lowenstein Sandler, to lift the spirits of the pediatric patients.

When the toys arrived, they were distributed to child life specialists, along with representatives from the Pediatric Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, general Pediatrics, Pediatric Cancer and Children’s Heart Center staff who will present to their inpatients and outpatients on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and throughout the holiday season.

“Every year we take care of hundreds of children who benefit from the entertaining distraction that toys provide to help reduce their anxiety during their stay with us,” said Darrell K. Terry, Sr., MHA, MPH, FACHE, FHELA, President and Chief Executive Officer, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. “This generous toy donation from Mr. Rosen will serve to maintain a warm environment for our children and families throughout the holidays and New Year.” CHoNJ cares for children from birth through adolescence, with over 30 specialized pediatric services.
