Eric Kleinert, MSN, RN

Eric Kleinert, MSN, RNEric Kleinert, MSN, RN, is Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway (RWJUH Rahway), an RWJBarnabas Health facility.

Prior to this, Mr. Kleinert served as RWJUH Rahway’s Chief Nursing Officer since 2023. He joined RWJUH Rahway in 2012 as Emergency Department Manager and was promoted to Senior Director of Nursing Operations in 2016.

Mr. Kleinert was instrumental in leading the operational response to COVID-19 at RWJUH Rahway, as well as implementation of EPIC, the electronic medical records system. He continues to lead the charge on patient safety and quality, with RWJUH Rahway recently receiving it’s 7th straight A grade from The Leapfrog Group.

Mr. Kleinert graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and received his Master of Science degree in Nursing Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
