Rock Steady Boxing Class for Parkinson's Patients - Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

The Center for Health and Wellness at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center is a certified Rock Steady Boxing Affiliate.

Rock Steady Boxing Method promotes muscle and neurological triggers helpful in combating Parkinson’s as well as improved gait and balance through trained footwork and improved coordination through glove work. Benefits include increased energy, confidence and quality of life, while engaging in a fun and fit activity. It is designed for men and women of all ages and levels of ability.

Virtual Sessions:

  • Mondays at 1:00 pm, 5:30 pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00 pm

In-Person Sessions (by appointment):

  • Wednesdays at 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm
  • Sundays at 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm

Criteria for Enrollment:

  • Physician clearance from movement disorder specialist or neurologist
  • Initial evaluation with health and wellness team prior to taking first class
  • Class level recommendations based on evaluation
