Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, marked a historic milestone in its Newark Strong Project. The construction of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s new 17,500 square-foot, glass-enclosed lobby is now complete. The lobby is the most visible element of the expansion that began in 2019 and is transforming the face of the hospital, producing new state-of-the-art medical units, and creating more opportunities for engagement with the community.

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s $150 million renovation project that will literally change the face of the medical center and the Lyons Avenue landscape is well underway. The highlight of the project will be the hospital’s new main lobby, an estimated 17,000-square-foot, glass-enclosed space with modern seating areas, community meeting spaces, an expansive registration area and cafés. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s $150 million renovation project will change the face of the medical center and the Lyons Avenue landscape. The highlight of the project will be the medical center’s new main lobby, an expanded Emergency Department, New Hybrid ORs, Added Green Space , New Pulmonary Center, including Lung Transplant, New Cardiovascular Center, including Heart Failure Treatment and Transplant and continued remodeling of the maternity unit and renovated intensive care units.
