Community Outreach
As one of New Jersey’s largest health care networks, we are committed to community wellness. Jersey City Medical Center features a variety of health screenings and education programs throughout the year to community residents and employees.
Based upon the needs of the community, we provide a variety of health seminars to educate the public community about healthy lifestyles and choices to promote wellness and prevention. These seminars are offered on various days and weekends at various times, both morning and evening.

Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health provides a variety of services to the community outside of the hospital. The mobile screening unit travels to the community to provide crisis screening to Hudson county residents experiencing an acute mental health concern. They will travel to schools, places of work, parks, homes, etc. to assess the level of crisis the individual is experiencing.The screening is for individuals 5 years and up.
