About Our Foundation

Who We Are

Philanthropic support is sought from individual donors, and private and corporate foundations to ensure that continued quality and excellence in patient care are available for all New Jersey residents.

The RWJBarnabas Health Foundation also provides integrated governance for all the affiliate foundations by monitoring, enhancing, providing oversight and management for all affiliate philanthropic fundraising activities within RWJBarnabas Health, as well as System out-patient centers, long term care facilities and its state-wide network of behavioral health programs.

What We Do

Since its inception, the RWJBarnabas Health Foundation has played an integral role in working with its community to secure needed funding and sponsorship support to underwrite important System projects.

As New Jersey’s health care leader, the System depends on the generosity of individuals, and private and corporate foundations support to assist us in providing the quality skilled and compassionate clinical care to the more than 5 million patients we serve each year.

The RWJBarnabas Health Foundation seeks funding support from private and corporate foundations and individual donors for System programs which currently include: Patient Quality and Safety Initiatives, Disaster Preparedness, Behavioral Health, Kidney Transplant education and community awareness, the Multiple Sclerosis Program, Newborn Screening, Jewish Genetic Disease Programs, system wide clinical programs and services, community outreach and capital needs, to name just a few.
