Eligibility Requirements

Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Community Medical Center

All applications will be accepted and processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We will be offering 2 positions via the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) match.

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must meet one of the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment:

  • Graduation from a medical school in the United States or Canada, accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)
  • Graduation from a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States, accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Graduation from a medical school outside of the United States or Canada with a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) prior to appointment
  • Completed an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine

We will utilize ERAS for selection of our applicants. No information or applications will be accepted by fax or email. Only information provided through ERAS will be utilized in selecting candidates for an interview.

Program Requirements

  • Three original letters of recommendation. One must be from pulmonary or critical care.
  • All international medical school graduates must pass USMLE steps I, II and III; or COMLEX steps I & II. Priority will be given to applicants who have not had more than 1 attempt on all USMLE or COMLEX exams.
  • Recent medical school graduate (within 8 years preferred).
  • US clinical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
