Wellness Session: The Importance of Adult Vaccination

Adults Need Immunizations Too

Monday, July 27, 2020, 1 p.m.

If the word “vaccination” evokes images of childhood, it’s not just kid stuff. All adults need vaccines.

Adult vaccination rates are low in the U.S. and far below national targets, leaving millions of adults susceptible to vaccine-preventable diseases and their potentially severe consequences.

Plus, adult vaccine recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) have changed recently.

Even if you think you’ve been keeping up with your vaccines, you’ll want to review the CDC’s list of vaccine recommendations and plan to get your annual flu shot soon!

Join us to learn about the vaccines.

This wellness session is provided by RWJUH in partnership with  Mary M. Bridgeman, PharmD, BCPS Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Clinical Professor Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
