Meet Our 2026 CMN Champion

John Ryan

When John Ryan wasn’t reaching critical milestones at five-months-old, his parents knew something was wrong. Testing revealed a rare neurodevelopmental genetic disorder called GATAD2B (GAND). With fewer than 500 know cases worldwide, his parents had no clear answers for their path forward. When they arrived at CSH, John Ryan’s mom felt as if they could finally exhale.

Through intense physical and occupational therapy at CSH, John Ryan has made remarkable progress and is now doing things that were once thought impossible! Follow us on social media (@childrensspecnj) to be part of John Ryan’s journey as New Jersey’s 2026 Children’s Miracle Network Champion.
