On Wednesdays, students will be attending resident conference where you will participate in lectures, discussions, and simulation labs. Weekly didactics are from 8am-1pm, located in the conference room on EL-3.

During your rotation, we encourage our student rotators to function as a sub-interns, which means your patient is your responsibility. Students can be expected to obtain a thorough history and physical, read imaging & interpret lab results, perform point of care ultrasound, do laceration repairs / reductions / dislocations, and US-guided IVs. Your four-week rotation will be as hands on as you make it. Students will be presenting to and working directly with our EM seniors and Attending Physicians who will supervise you on shift.
