Oct 8, 2025 Essex County and RWJBarnabas Health Unveil Pediatric Mobile Health Clinic

RWJBarnabas Health joined Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and local stakeholders on September 23 to unveil a new pediatric mobile health clinic. With a dedicated pediatric doctor, nurse and medical assistant paired with support from our Community Health Workers and robust Community Health team, this van will deliver school physicals, flu immunizations, hearing and vision checks, asthma education and health education directly to families across all 22 municipalities in the county.

At RWJBarnabas Health, our mission to build and sustain a healthier New Jersey means that every resident, regardless of circumstances, should have the opportunity to achieve better health. For our children, this is especially critical – as early access to care lays the foundation for lifelong health. By meeting children where they are, we will reach more young patients than ever before – closing care gaps and ensuring they receive the support they need to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.

This is the second mobile health unit that is part of the collaboration between Essex County and RWJBarnabas Health to promote healthy lifestyles and wellness in the greater Essex community.
