Building Family Health with the Strengthening Families Program

We are invested in the prosperity of families within our communities. As a New Jersey health care provider, we are pleased to offer unique services to improve the physical and mental health of the families within our communities.

Programs like Strengthening Families, offered from our Institute of Prevention, are one of these programs.

Strengthening Families is an educational program utilizing the award-winning Strengthening Families curriculum that has been recognized by the World Health Organization as a model parenting program. Families will learn how to improve communication skills, develop effective conflict resolution techniques and learn to identify and express feelings. Each week features a complimentary, catered family dinner, incentives and gifts for participants.

RWJBarnabas Health's Institute for Prevention provides comprehensive wellness services that focus on increasing protective factors and decreasing risk factors that are associated with alcohol and drug abuse in individuals, families and communities.
