Wednesday, October 22, 2014 Inspiration Boutique Opening Event
We're proud to announce the opening of the Inspiration Boutique at the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center. This new service was funded by a grant from The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation to the American Cancer Society. As patients undergoing treatments for cancer often experience hair loss, the Inspiration Boutique provides cancer patients with access to a large variety of wig styles and hats/caps, free of charge. Patients may also participate in reiki therapy and other complementary therapies, also at no cost.
The grant has also funded a patient navigator. The navigator assists patients during their treatment process and after by removing obstacles and helping patients access social services, such as transportation and cope with their disease.
