Class of 2022

Raymon S Birring, MD
Raymon S. Birring, MD is from California, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California at Davis in Neurology, Physiology and Behavior. Dr. Birring completed his medical education at the American University of the Caribbean. His special interests are community health, primary care and hospital medicine.


James A Bisogno, DOJames A. Bisogno, DO, originally from Long Island, New York, is a graduate of Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Bisogno received his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. His special interests include preventative care and screening practices as well as genetic testing.


Raul Gonzales, MDRaul Gonzales, MD, is from Ontario Canada, and received his Bachelor of Science in Comparative Physiology and Health Science from The University of Western Ontario. Dr. Gonzales is a graduate of St. Georges University School of Medicine. He is particularly interested in primary care, preventative medicine, geriatrics and rural health.


Mahmoud Khalil, MD
Mahmoud Khalil, MD is from Queens, New York, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from Queens College, City University of New York. Dr. Khalil completed his medical degree at St. Georges University School of Medicine. His areas of special interest include primary care, preventive medicine and hospital medicine.


David Kim, MDDavid Kim, MD, joins the residency from Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Dr. Kim completed his medical degree at St. Georges University School of Medicine. His special interests are in family medicine with a focus on preventive and inpatient medicine.


Rene Talai, MD
Rene Talai, MD is from Westchester County, New York and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Bucknell University. Dr. Talai received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. She is particularly interested in women’s health and dermatology.

Sunu M. Alexander, MD Sunu M. Alexander, MD is from Long Island, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Gannon University where she majored in Biology with a Minor in Psychology. Dr. Alexander completed her medical education at Ross University School of Medicine. She is particularly interested in traditional primary care, pediatrics, global health and preventive medicine.


Nisha Bengali, MD
Nisha Bengali, MD grew up in New Jersey. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Dr. Bengali received her medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. Her special interests include women’s health, behavioral health, geriatrics and palliative care.

Yuvneet Brar
originally from Simi Valley, California, received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Brar is a graduate of St. Georges University School of Medicine. She is particularly interested in primary care, adolescent medicine and women’s health.


Benjamin Hunter, MD
Benjamin Hunter, MD
an Arizona native, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Biomedical Emphasis from the University of Arizona. Dr. Hunter completed his medical education at St. Georges University School of Medicine. He is interested in integrative medicine, palliative care and geriatric medicine.


Andrew Salinas, MD
Andrew Salinas, MD
is a native of New Jersey. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University of Maryland. Dr. Salinas is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. His interests include outpatient medicine and sports medicine.


Anjuli Singh, MD Anjuli Singh, MD is from New York. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, General Literature and Rhetoric from Binghamton University. Dr. Singh also completed a Master’s in Business Administration from Binghamton University. Dr. Singh received her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. Her areas of special interest include sports medicine and emergency medicine.


Rhea Thompson-Sitney, MD Rhea Thompson-Sitney, MD joins the residency from New York. She is a graduate of City University of New York, Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Dr. Thompson-Sitney completed her medical degree at St. Georges University School of Medicine. Her special interests are in women’s health, obstetrics and rural health.


Varinder Tut, MDVarinder Tut, MD a Canadian native, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary. Dr. Tut received her medical degree from the Medical University of Silesia School of Medicine in Katowice, Poland. She is particularly interested in women’s health, primary care and preventive medicine.

Dubem Anumba, MDDubem Anumba, MD is from New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Binghamton where he majored in Cell and Molecular Biology. Dr. Anumba completed his medical education at Ross University School of Medicine. He is particularly interested in academic medicine, hospital medicine and urgent care.


Aysha Azam, DOAysha Azam, DO grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia. She is a graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry-Biology. Dr. Azam received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her special interests include women’s health, obstetrics, and aesthetics.


Melanie Bernardes, MDMelanie Bernardes, MD grew up in New Jersey, and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Hartford. Dr. Bernardes is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, and is particularly interested in women’s health and hospitalist medicine.


Arpan Garg, MDArpan Garg, MD also grew up in New Jersey. Dr. Garg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University, and completed his medical education at American University of the Caribbean. He is interested in sports medicine, emergency medicine, preventive medicine and community health.


Sanna Mohammad, MDSanna Mohammad, MD is from Miramar, Florida. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University. Dr. Mohammad is a graduate of St. Georges University School of Medicine. Her special interests include women’s health and rural medicine.


Tajwar Taher, MDTajwar Taher, MD joins the residency from Pendleton, Oregon. Dr. Tajwar is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He completed his medical degree Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Medicine. Dr. Taher’s special interests include nutrition and mental health.


Tyra White, MDTyra White, MD a native of New York, received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences from SUNY Binghamton. Dr. White received her medical degree from the St. Georges School of Medicine. She is particularly interested in preventive medicine, primary care, health care disparities and global health.
