Pharmacy Residency Program
The program is designed to build on the resident’s Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of a clinical pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Graduates of the program will develop and strengthen the following skills:
- Leadership and practice management
- Time management and project coordination
- Direct patient care in a wide spectrum of patient care environments
- Development of communications, clinical and leadership skills through interaction with patients, health care providers and trainees
- Research, training, and development through completion of pharmacy related project that will be presented at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Eastern States Residency Conference
- Precepting and teaching pharmacy students
