Pharmacy Residency Program

The program is designed to build on the resident’s Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of a clinical pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.Pharmacy Residency Program

Graduates of the program will develop and strengthen the following skills:

  • Leadership and practice management
  • Time management and project coordination
  • Direct patient care in a wide spectrum of patient care environments
  • Development of communications, clinical and leadership skills through interaction with patients, health care providers and trainees
  • Research, training, and development through completion of pharmacy related project that will be presented at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Eastern States Residency Conference
  • Precepting and teaching pharmacy students
